NEW YORK, Aug 23, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Advertising Age has named five Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) companies to their 2011 list of "Best Places to Work" in the advertising industry. The IPG companies included in the list are Deutsch, Erwin-Penland, GolinHarris, Hill Holliday and Orion Trading.

The agencies were selected by employees and employers in the publication's second-annual survey. Key metrics used in compiling the list included employee engagement, open and transparent management, clear communication of company goals and paths to promotion as well as employee benefits.

"Talent is the most important success factor in our business. At IPG, we are highly focused on not only attracting the best people, but also retaining and developing them. It's rewarding to have Ad Age recognize five of our agencies as being best places to work in the ad business -- more than any other major marketing services holding company," said Michael I. Roth, Interpublic's Chairman and CEO. "This is a real testament to the great work our agencies are doing to put in place some of the industry's best programs in diversity, training, leadership development and community service. We couldn't be more proud of Deutsch, Erwin-Penland, GolinHarris, Hill Holliday and Orion Trading."
