Interpublic Elects Jocelyn Carter-Miller to Board of Directors

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 30, 2007--The Interpublic Group of Companies (NYSE:IPG) announced today that it has elected Jocelyn Carter-Miller, 50, to its Board of Directors. Ms. Carter-Miller, currently President of TechEdventures, Inc., will join the board immediately.

Since 2005, Ms. Carter-Miller has been President of TechEdventures, Inc., a community empowerment firm that educates and inspires children, families and the community through the development and management of charter schools and community-based programs. TechEdventures uses state-of-the-art strategies and technologies to provide operations management, program development and marketing to promote community and economic renewal.

Prior to joining TechEdventures, Carter-Miller was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Office Depot from 2002 to 2004. Before that, she spent a decade with Motorola, initially as a Director of Marketing and Network Service Quality and ultimately as Corporate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. She also spent eight years at Mattel in marketing, product development and strategic business planning roles. Carter-Miller began her career as a Consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton.

Ms. Carter-Miller is also a Director of the Principal Financial Group, Inc. and several non-profit organization boards.
