Inaugural ADCOLOR(TM) Awards to Recognize Outstanding Achievements of 15 Diverse Professionals
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 8, 2007--The ADCOLOR(TM) Industry Coalition and The Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) announced today that Marcio Moreira, Heide Gardner and Lauren Tucker will be honored as Legend, Change Agent and Innovator, respectively, as part of the 2007 ADCOLOR Awards, a program honoring outstanding diverse professionals in each segment of the advertising, marketing and media industries. The awards show will take place at the ANA Multicultural Marketing Conference on November 4, 2007 in Boca Raton, Florida.
Over 100 nominations were submitted across four award categories. A fifth category was added to honor an individual whose impact spans the advertising, marketing and media industries. The 15 honorees were selected based on their ability to deliver strong outcomes, contributions to their companies, industries and/or communities, reputation as "best in class" by serving as role models for others and strong professional character and leadership.
Marcio Moreira is Vice Chairman, Global Professional Management of McCann Worldgroup responsible for the careers of thousands of employees around the world. Mr. Moreira began his advertising career with McCann-Erickson Brazil in 1967 and has held various posts throughout McCann Worldgroup, including Vice Chairman, Chief Creative Officer of McCann Worldgroup and of McCann Erickson Worldwide and Regional Director of McCann Erickson Asia Pacific. His current responsibilities include coordinating creative resources, setting creative standards and nurturing the flow of ideas across the whole spectrum of McCann's seven specialized marketing communications companies, including McCann-Erickson Worldwide.
Heide Gardner is Senior Vice President, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer of the Interpublic Group. She is responsible for collaborating with senior management to develop new inclusion management strategies and programs for Interpublic and its family of leading agency brands across the globe. Since joining Interpublic, Ms. Gardner has made significant contributions to Interpublic and has acted as a role model for employees, leaders at a range of Interpublic companies and our industry as a whole.
Lauren Tucker, Senior Vice President and Director of Consumer Forensics at The Martin Agency takes her passion for marketing and communication education and training beyond work to inspire and encourage today's industry professionals and educators as well as tomorrow's young thought leaders. Her unique approach to strategic planning has provided form, structure and actionability to some of the great creative ideas produced by The Martin Agency, one of the most successful agencies in the world today.
