Dominant Showing at MM&M Awards and CLIO Awards Led by McCann Health and FCB Health
New York, NY - October 6, 2015 - Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) announced today that IPG healthcare agencies had a dominant showing at two recent major award shows - the MM&M Awards and the CLIO Healthcare Awards. At the MM&M Awards, IPG agencies won over 35% of all awards handed out. Led by its global networks McCann Health and FCB Health, the company brought home a total of 22 MM&M Awards, more than any other holding company; the top honors of the evening, including the inaugural Titanium Best in Show Award, as well as the two Agency of the Year awards, went to IPG companies.
Within McCann Health, McCann Echo's work for Galderma's launch of Soolantra, won five Gold and Silver MM&M Awards, plus the Titanium Award for Best in Show, making it one of the most awarded campaigns of the evening. McCann Torre Lazur won Gold for best social media campaign. McCann Global Health, McCann HumanCare and McCann RCW won a Silver MM&M Award for their work tackling the UN Millennium Development Goal to reduce early childhood death, working alongside the Clinton Health Access Initiative and USAID.
Area 23, an FCB Health company, took home a total of ten awards and was named Mid-sized Agency of the Year. Seven of Area 23's MM&M Awards honored "Free Killer Tan," a melanoma awareness campaign created by the agency on behalf of Mollie's Fund. FCB Health was named Large Healthcare Agency of the Year and ICC won Gold for best corporate marketing campaign for its work on Merck Animal Health. The agencies' combined haul of 13 awards helped win FCB Health and Area 23 their agency of the year awards.
At the recent CLIO Healthcare Awards, IPG won a total of 13 honors, including seven for Area 23, an FCB Health Company, four for McCann Health, one for FCB Health and one for Weber Shandwick.
