Interpublic Promotes Gatfield and Krakowsky to New Strategic Roles
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 2005--The Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) announced today that it had added to the responsibilities of two senior executives. Effective immediately, Stephen Gatfield, previously Executive Vice President, Global Operations and Innovation, has been named Executive Vice President, Strategy and Network Operations. Philippe Krakowsky, previously Senior Vice President, Director of Corporate Communications, has been named Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Relations.

Mr. Gatfield, 47, has served in senior management roles at highly creative advertising agencies, leading global advertising networks and at the holding company level. Mr. Krakowsky, 43, has also worked across the full range of advertising and marketing services companies, in communications, marketing and strategic roles. He will continue to lead our positioning and outreach to all internal and external audiences, as well as providing strategic counsel to the corporate team and operating unit management."
